Mid Year Adjustment

-Schools do not owe Funds to the city for registar loss!  We currently have a registar gain-Released $92,078 to PS 108K-PS 108K will receive money in FSF in two rounds

Kindergarten Class -9 students in Kindergarten have been evaluated and are recommended for an ICT setting-One General Education class will be transitioning to a Kindergarten ICT class; a special education teacher will need to be hired to fill this vacancy-There is a promising candidate for this position
Eureka Math Squared -Opportunity to pilot the program-All grades will have 6 modules-Designed to enhance student conversation and hands on experience-Students will receive two books (Learn and Apply)-Great Minds digital Platform (digital manipulative)-Support students in transitioning into online NYS assessments-Teacher guides show the progressions of the Standards-Achievement descriptors help break down the standards and will support success criteria-Context videos-Family unit letter-Possibility to add EquipStudent Books are already on Core Curriculum-Parent, Mayrobi, asked what grades would be using it? “Would the homework still be paper and pencil?”“It sounds amazing! A great way to integrate technology into their mathematics.”-Explained the CVC words and visuals being utilized for grades K-2 to build students capacity to become independent workers-Parent, C. Santiago stated “Sounds good”-Parent, A. Suarez, “ Love it!”-Equip will assess students and specifically what the students need to work on Teacher, J. Rini, shared that in the past some of the word problems were too wordy and now in the new program it seems the problems are teased out for the student and that with  the online component the students will have the practice with the technology.  When it is displayed the students’ names can be removed from the work being shown without the student feeling uncomfortable about his/her work being shown.Parent, Mayrobi shared she still struggles as a thirty something year old with problem solving so she supports  that anythat would help the kiddos she is in favor of!Consensus was reached to pilot this program and order the materials
